We the Students: Essays That Claim Our Marginalized Histories (826 Boston)

Drawing inspiration from Howard Zinn’s “A People’s History of the United States” and James Loewen’s “Lies My Teacher Told Me,” students have been examining the stories of figures who have been left out of the historical record and history books. Students eagerly worked on retelling the stories of marginalized voices through this pivotal project. Through their writing, students demonstrate the importance of teaching an honest and thoughtful U.S. history.
